Think And Learn A Language

images4Learning a language can be a long and and boring process. Sure there will always be a certain amount of memorization required, but that too can become tedious. There are other methods that can be used to make language learning easier. You can label things around the house in the language you are learning. Listening to audio files when travelling to work or school is another.

How You Can Quickly Learn A Language

By having conversations in your head, you can quickly learn a language. By thinking about what you are going to say and playing out the discussions that you will have will help you to speak the language while you actually only know a few words.

Think In the Language You Are trying to Learn

People believe that they must be fluent in a language in order to think in that language. This isn’t true. If you know a few words in the language you can make up sentences using those words to express your ideas. You don’t have to use the exact words. Use the words you know. You can always look up the words if you really do get stuck for a word.

This is a great way to learn a language as it forces you to remember the words. Repetition works in learning a language. Even if you are only saying the words in your mind, you are repeating them. This can be better than just reading or listening to the words. By translating your thoughts into the language you want to learn, you are always practising.

By putting your thoughts into the new language you are not just practising, you are learning more than just rules and words. You are learning how to use specific ways to tell people what you want to say. Everyone talks about different things, a doctor wants to learn how to say “what is wrong?” while you may want to say where the best restaurants are. In classes, you often learn what other people want or think you should know. This helps you to learn, but you have your own things that interest you.

The best way to learn a language is to speak it, and thinking it is just speaking it inside your own head. The most important words, expressions and sentences will be learnt quickly if you are constantly thinking them. One last tip for now, carry a language dictionary to use when your thoughts stop coming.

Use this powerful method for learning a language quickly.
